ANNAPOLIS, Md., July 11 (UPI) -- Mobile communications technology company TeleCommunication Systems Inc. has a place on a $48 million C4 support contract from the U.S. Department of Defense.

Under its provisions, each of the six awardees are limited to $8 million of work unless amended by the department.

TCS said work under the contract would be performed under task orders and include systems analysis support, systems integration support and operational systems support.

The task orders will be issued through the Department of the Army, Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems.

The new C4 support contract, it added, replaces the Integration, Production, Training and Lifecycle Sustainment Support on C4 Communications System for Tactical & Wideband/Vehicular/Shipboard & Aircraft Platforms contract.

"TCS has enjoyed a good working relationship with the PEO EIS for several years, with exceptional past performance on previous task orders," said TCS Government Solutions Group President Michael Bristol.
