"Our industry team's design organization status and our strong partnering relationship with the MOD were undoubtedly paramount in our selection as integrator of the FQIS solution for the Sentry program," said Kevin Longman, Sentry program director, Northrop Grumman Technical Services. "We look forward to delivering this important system upgrade that will contribute toward sustaining the AWACS platform."

Under the three-year modification contract, the company will develop, integrate, test and support the new system but additional details were not provided.

Work on the FQIS will be performed at a Royal Air Force base in Britain as well as at company facilities in the United States.
