PARIS, June 18 (UPI) -- Vector Aerospace Services' maintenance, repair and overhaul facilities in Britain have been designated customer service centers for Sikorsky S-76 helicopters.
The arrangement between SAS, the aftermarket business of Sikorsky Aircraft, and Vector was announce at the Paris Air Show.
"Vector Aerospace is recognized in the industry as a leading provider of aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul services," said Frank DiPasquale, SAS vice president of business development and strategic relationships. "Aligned with our international strategic initiatives and overall commitment to our worldwide customers, this agreement serves as an important launch point in the U.K.
"We are pleased to work with Vector Aerospace and look forward to future opportunities to strengthen our relationship and enhance our support capabilities for Sikorsky's commercial operators throughout Europe."
The S-76 is a medium-sized commercial aircraft that comes in a number of variants, including military ones. It has a maximum speed of 178 miles per hour and a range of 473 miles.
As authorized service centers, Vector's facilities will provide complete aftermarket support as well as local maintenance personnel.
Vector's headquarters is in Canada.
