PARIS, June 17 (UPI) -- A new system to protect military and civil air surveillance radars from cyberattack has been introduced at the Paris Air Show by ThalesRaytheonSystems.

The system is called CybAIR RadBox. It monitors operational data, alerts the user of radar abnormally, performs technical and operational supervision roles and enables operators to visualize the operational consequences of a cyberattack.

ThalesRaththeonSystems said it can detect any kind of cyberattack and that it comes with a full range of services and tools to train users and for cyberattack investigations.

Additional details of the technology were not immediately available.

According to the company, CybAIR RadBox, which is fully interoperable with operations security centers and which complements conventional system and network protection solutions, is undergoing evaluation by the French Air Force and the French defense procurement agency, DGA.

ThalesRaytheonSystems is a U.S.-French joint venture. It specializes in air operation command-and-control systems, and surveillance radars.
