
NEW YORK, June 11 (UPI) -- U.S. investment banking firm Sagent Advisors LLC has appointed a new managing director, a move underlining its intended growth in aerospace and defense sectors.
Appointed managing director with immediate effect is Jeremy Parker, who will jointly lead the firm's Aerospace, Defense and Technology practice with Chris Oliver.
Prior to joining Sagent, was a managing director and head of Aerospace, Defense & Government at Gleacher & Company.
"We are thrilled to have Jeremy join us at Sagent," said Hal Ritch, Sagent Advisors' chief executive officer. "He is a high-caliber investment banker who is dedicated to the interests of his clients.
"Furthermore, this important hire demonstrates our commitment to strengthening Sagent's presence in the Aerospace, Defense and Technology sector."
While at Gleacher, Parker advised domestic and international clients on a variety of mergers & acquisitions and financing transactions. Included was Evolvent Technologies' sale to ManTech International and New Mountain Capital's acquisition of a majority stake in SNL Financial.
