Northrop supports DIA technology efforts

MCLEAN, Va., June 5 (UPI) -- Northrop Grumman has won a task order to support the software development life cycle of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency's IT architecture.

The order comes under the DIA's Solutions for Information Technology Enterprise contract. It is for four years and has an estimated value of $318 million.

"We are proud to continue our long-standing partnership with DIA," said Shawn Purvis, vice president of integrated intelligence systems for Northrop Grumman Information Systems. "This award gives us an opportunity to leverage our enterprise software development and technical support experience in support of DIA's commitment to IT excellence, and it will allow us to create efficiencies that will result in tangible cost savings for the agency."

The tasks to be performed under the order include include design, development, integration, testing and deployment requirements, and tasks and technical support services to DIA's Chief Information Office.
