The deal was struck between Saab Barracuda and Forca Delta Equipamentos Militares, which makes uniforms, tents and beds for military use in the field.

"Forca Delta and their manufacturing capabilities match the profile of a Brazilian partner that we've been looking for", said Anders Wiman, president of Saab Barracuda AB. "This partnership enables us to leverage Forca Delta's excellent know-how in sewing and quality control, helping us strengthen our competitiveness in Brazil and South American market."

As a result of the partnership, Forca Delta will expand its current production and build a new plant in which 20 percent of space will be dedicated to the manufacture of multispectral camouflage.

"This agreement with Saab represents a major step in bringing state-of-the-art signature management technology to Brazil", says Antonio Velasco Remigio, president of Forca Delta. "Besides expanding our production, which will lead to new recruitments and regional development, we aim with this initiative to further strengthen the Brazilian defense industry."
