The Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability system, which will be simulation-based, will "support training exercises that replicate complex operational scenarios, preparing commanders and their staff to direct military operations," Lockheed said.
The system will integrate seven separate command and battle staff training systems now in use for practicing decision making in high-pressure situations.
"Integrating seven training components provides sustainment cost savings and makes it easier and faster to generate training scenarios," said Jim Weitzel, vice president of training solutions for Lockheed Martin's Mission Systems and Training business. "JLCCTC will be built with a modeling and simulation-based architecture to present data-driven scenarios for relevant, adaptable training."
In addition to integration of the seven systems, Lockheed will integrate its Warfighter's Simulation system, which has so far supported 14 training exercises.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a ceiling value of $146 million.
