EOIR acquiring Viecore FSD

FREDERICKSBURG, Va., April 2 (UPI) -- EOIR Technologies Inc., a U.S. engineering firm specializing in advanced systems for defense, intelligence and homeland security, is acquiring Viecore FSD.

Viecore Federal Systems Division, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nuance Communications Inc. with headquarters in New Jersey, provides advanced software and systems development services to the U.S. military and federal government.

Terms of the transaction and its projected completion date weren't provided.

"We're excited to welcome the FSD team to EOIR," said EOIR Chief Executive Officer Joseph Mackin. "This is a bright and talented group of people who will bring tremendous value to EOIR. We are thrilled to have them as part of our organization."

EOIR is a portfolio company of The White Oak Group and provides research, development, and engineering services in advanced systems for defense, intelligence, and homeland security. Viecore FSD's solutions and services will be integrated into EOIR's portfolio of engineering products and services for customers within the U.S. national security market.
