
LIVONIA, Mich., Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Beaver Aerospace and Defense of Michigan has been given a Boeing Performance Excellence Award for its work throughout last year.
Beaver, a subsidiary of Phillips Service Industries, supplies ball splines for CH-47 Chinook helicopters and camera deployment actuators for P-8 aircraft used by the U.S. Military. From October 2011 through September of 2012, the company maintained a Silver composite performance supply performance period.
"Beaver Aerospace and Defense is honored to receive the Boeing Performance Excellence Award," said Ben Kearns, general manager of Beaver Aerospace and Defense. "We also take tremendous pride in being the industry leader in on-time delivery, with current performance exceeding 99-plus percent."
For its Performance Excellence Awards for 2012, Boeing recognized 594 suppliers who achieved Gold or Silver status.
Beaver Aerospace and Defense produces custom and broad-range actuation products for the aerospace and defense industries.
