ABM said the work will be performed through two task orders under a Defense Language Interpreting and Translation Enterprise contract, which was awarded to ABM and four other companies.
Under a new task order received this month, ABM will provide linguist support in Iraq to the Department of Defense Intelligence Command and Defense Security Cooperation Agency's Office of Security and Cooperation Iraq. ABM will open an office in Iraq to perform the three-year task order and manage about 200 linguists.
Under a second award, worth about $12 million, ABM will provide linguists support to the Department of Defense Air Force Office of Special Investigation. The ABM's office for the work will be in Qatar.
About 27 linguists in 10 countries of the region will be supported over a period of three years.
"We are proud to be supporting these geo-strategic and historically significant Department of Defense operations," said Les Cunningham, president of ABM Government Services.
"ABM continues to leverage our extensive government experience to provide critical language and communications needs for our U.S. troops around the globe."
