Booz Allen tapped for Navy cost reduction

MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 24 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command has picked Booz Allen Hamilton to help reduce acquisition and operating costs of communications systems.

The work will be conducted under three contracts with a combined value of $95 million, Booz Allen Hamilton said.

The first, a two-year $22 million multiple award from the Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific is for program and configuration management, technical services, systems engineering, algorithm development, hardware and software development, material analysis, data processing, testing and repair of maritime intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and information operations.

The second -- a five-year, $72 million single award – is for program management, cost modeling, acquisition and contract support.

The third is a one-year contract to provide technical services, security engineering, information analysis and system operational analysis support.
