NEW HARTFORD, N.Y., Jan. 17 (UPI) -- The U.S. Defense Contracts Management Agency has picked Rome Research Corp. to provide information technology augmentation services.

The services to be provided by the company, a subsidiary of PAR Technology Corporation, will directly support the agency's mission of ensuring that supplies and services are delivered on time to the Department of Defense and federal agencies at projected costs and at required performance levels by working directly with suppliers.

The contract is worth $11.4 million. Services will be performed at more than 250 agency locations in the continental United States over a three-year period.

"We are pleased that the Defense Contract Management Agency has selected Rome Research Corp. to provide service desk and LAN administration support to the agency," said Steve Lynch, president of PAR's Government Operations.

"RRC will provide centralized service desk personnel in Columbus, Ohio and local LAN administrators to support over 250 locations where Defense Contract Management Agency personnel are located in the United States."
