ZAGREB, Croatia, Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Croatia has expressed support for a Kosovo defense force and the country's hope to join NATO, Croatian Defense Minister Ante Kotromanovic said.

Kosovo Security Forces Minister Agim Ceku met with Kotromanovic this week in Pristina, HINA reported.

Kotromanovic said Croatia was willing to share the experience of its armed forces in the development of Kosovo's military.

An Annual Plan of Bilateral Defense Cooperation for 2013 states Croatia's readiness to assist Kosovo's defense sector, the Croatian Defense Ministry said.

Croatian defense industries willing to assist Kosovo develop an indigenous armaments sector include: HS Products, which manufactures HS and XD semiautomatic pistols; logistics company Sestan Busch; Metallic; Promrad, which makes the RBG-6 grenade launcher and sniper rifles, and the Kraljevica, Greben and Adria-mar shipyards, which produces various types of patrol boats as well as missile corvettes, mine sweepers and transports.
