NEW HARTFORD, N.Y., Dec. 6 (UPI) -- A subsidiary of PAR Technology Corp. has been given a $4.9 million contract to support the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory in Rome, N.Y.

Under the award, Rome Research Corp. will provide integration, testing and systems evaluation and develop software for command and control systems.

It will also provide active support for operational exercises and experimentation for the service's Integrated Command and Control Testbed Program.

"We are pleased that the Air Force has selected Rome Research Corp. to support the IC2T Program," said Steve Lynch, president of PAR's Government system applications for C2 solutions. "RRC has a long history of developing and applying advanced technologies and state-of-the-art capabilities in operational understanding of C2 technologies."

PAR Technology said the IC2T effort is to research and integrate relevant command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems and other technologies to "assure that the next generation technologies achieve information and operational interoperability."

The contract is for three years.
