FALLS CHURCH, Va., Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Base operational support services for U.S. defense forces in Honduras are to be provided by DynCorp International under a contract worth as much as $22 million.

The services at Soto Cano Air Base, in support of Joint Task Force Bravo, include engineering; laundry; supply support; morale, welfare and recreation; equipment maintenance; and food service.

Ground transportation, air transportation, security, and petroleum, oil and lubricant services will also be provided.

"We are honored that the U.S. Army has chosen DI to support this important program in Honduras and excited to expand our footprint in Central America," said Kenneth Juergens, group vice president, Global Logistics and Development Solutions, DynCorp International.

Joint Task Force Bravo operates a forward, all-weather day/night C-5-capable air base and comes under the authority of the U.S. Southern Command.

DynCorp said the contract was competitively awarded. It is a fixed-price award for a period of one year, with four one-year options.
