API Technologies tapped for assemblies

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Sophisticated electronic assemblies for a U.S. Department of Defense electronic warfare program are to be provided by API Technologies Corp.

API, a provider of RF/microwave, micro-electronics and security solutions, didn't specifically identify the contracting agency and didn't disclose the number of assemblies ordered or a delivery schedule due to the sensitivity of the program the assemblies will be used for.

The value of the contract, however, was given as $6.2 million.

"Prime defense contractors consistently turn to API because of the company's strong heritage in the development and production of solutions for critical electronic warfare platforms," said Bel Lazar, president and chief executive officer of API Technologies.

"We are proud that our high-reliability electronics play such an active role in identifying and countering deadly threats from insurgents on the battlefield and, in so doing, save soldiers' lives every single day."

API Technologies' electronic systems, subsystems, RF and secure solutions are used for aerospace and commercial applications as well as for military systems.
