The recognition was given by G.I. Jobs and U. S. Veterans magazines.
"Harris is a successful company in large part because we have employees with outstanding leadership skills and a mindset for tackling the tough challenges faced by our customers," said William Brown, president and chief executive officer of Harris. "Our military veterans are equipped with these skills the moment they join us, making them a valued resource in our company.
"We are proud to once again be recognized for our commitment to military friendly programs."
GI Jobs magazine based its selection of Harris on the strength of the company's effort in recruiting veterans, the percentage of new hires with prior military service and company policies toward employees who are members of the National Guard and Reserves.
Harris placed 76th on their list of 100 military friendly companies. It was the fifth consecutive year for Harris gaining recognition by the magazine.
U.S. Veterans Magazine's recognition list of 100 companies is compiled from market research, independent research, confidential employee interviews and responses to surveys.
Harris said it has nearly 1,800 veterans among its 15,000 employees worldwide.
