NEW HARTFORD, N.Y., Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Telecommunications operations and maintenance services at a U.S. military base in the Horn of Africa is to be provided by PAR Technology Corp.
The contract to PAR's subsidiary, Rome Research Corp., from the U.S. Navy to support the Global Information Grid facility at Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti is for five years and is worth $14.2 million.

"Our communications operations and maintenance responsibility will include support to the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa as well as several other tenants at Camp Lemonnier.

The Global Information Grid is the global network of information capabilities, processes and personnel for collecting, processing, storing, disseminating and managing information on demand for use by military commanders, policy makers and support personnel and others.
PAR's subsidiary will provide O&M communications services on a 24/7, year-round basis.
