ROME, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Italy's Selex Galileo, Selex Elsag and Selex Sistemi Integrati have completed their integration.

The businesses, all part of the Finmeccanica Group, said they will begin combined operations as Selex ES in January to increase market share in domestic and emerging countries by "leveraging on its competencies in the air, land, sea, security and civil domains."

"I am proud to introduce the Selex ES management team and organization" said Selex ES Chief Executive Officer Fabrizio Giulianini. "I am confident that the customer-oriented approach (of the company) ... will offer focused solutions to a broad range of civil and military requirements leveraging the breadth of our dual application technologies.

"Selex ES will have the strength and the skills to apply advanced information technology, system integration and sensor capability to develop sustainable, man-centric approaches to services and urban management and protection."

Selex ES will have three main divisions: Air and Space Systems; Land and Naval Systems; and Security and Smart Systems.

Land and Naval Systems will cover the design of complex system architectures to tactical integrated systems, naval combat management systems, land and naval radar and situational awareness sensors and military communications infrastructures.

The Security and Smart Systems division will be responsible for network infrastructure and systems architecture capabilities for homeland protection as well as air and vessel traffic management.
