Cornet has new audio enhancement tool

SPRINGFIELD, Va., Nov. 13 (UPI) -- A tool for simultaneously monitoring of multiple secure voice and radio communications with a single headset has been launched by Virginia's Cornet Technology.

The 3-D tool, Cornet said, is the result of a partnership with AM3D/AS of Denmark, which specializes in audio enhancement software.

Cornet said its Tactical Voice Conferencing System with AM3Ds sound separation tool enable users to spatially separate simultaneous audio cues so sounds and voices heard on headphones are perceived as if they are in a horizontal plane around the operator.

"This makes it easier to remember and separate multiple voices and to keep track of several simultaneous radio nets, thus increasing speech intelligibility, reducing mental fatigue and improving mission execution," Cornet said.

"The sound separation tool for low bandwidth communication is based on years of research and development and is matchless in the industry," said Sven Vestergaard, AM3D A/S' senior vice president.

"AM3D is pleased to partner with Cornet Technology as both companies have the same approach to providing the latest technology and we see this agreement as a synergist way of combining our areas of expertise to effectively enhance customers' ability to perform."
