FAIRFAX, Va., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- The U.S. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center-Atlantic has picked General Dynamics for C4ISR and information technology services.

Services under the five-year, multiple award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award will be performed for SSC's European Office and its Combatant Command and Unified Command customers.

The contract carries a potential value of $750 million for General Dynamics Information Technology and four other companies.

"With this contract, General Dynamics will deliver trustworthy IT services and C4ISR test and evaluation support to meet the operational requirements of the Department of Defense and other U.S. government sponsors worldwide," said Zannie Smith, senior vice president of General Dynamics Information Technology's National and Homeland Security division.

"We have the expertise needed to support SSC Atlantic and provide cost-effective analysis and reliable communication and management for its customers as they strive for security and strength across more than 70 nations."

Under the contract General Dynamics will engineer, design, develop, install, test and maintain a wide range of communication networks and systems and also provide program management, technical support and integrated logistics services in support of SSC's command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems efforts.
