The 2012 Secretary of Defense "Gerald R. Beck" award acknowledges outstanding government-industry partnerships at the system, subsystem and component level. It was presented this week at the Aerospace Industries Association conference to Pratt and Whitney, Boeing and the U.S. Air Force.

"Everyone here at Pratt and Whitney has worked very hard to provide the F117 engines with the proven performance, support and sustainment capability our customers expect," said Bev Deachin, vice president, Pratt and Whitney Military Programs and Customer Support. "We are truly honored to stand with the entire C-17 Globemaster PBL team and have our efforts recognized."
