SAIC giving IT support to Redstone Arsenal

MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Information technology support services at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama are to be provided by SAIC through a $152 million task order from the U.S. Army.

The task order from the Army Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command is for a total of 37 months.

Under the contract, IT support services from Science Applications International Corporation will include enterprise design, integration, and consolidation; IT education and training; IT program and project management; systems operations and maintenance; network support; and embedded information systems security and information assurance, the company said.

Programming, software development and communications are also covered by the task order.

"We look forward to providing AMCOM with life-cycle information technology support services and efficient support process to ensure mission success," said Glenn San Giacomo, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.

The task order was granted under the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-2 contract vehicle.
