Army taps Fluor-ManTech for logistics

IRVING, Texas, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- Fluor-ManTech Logistics Solutions LLC has joined the roster of companies eligible to provide logistics services under the U.S. Army's EAGLE contracting program.

The company, a partnership between Fluor and ManTech International, didn't disclose all the details of the award, under which it will compete for task orders in the areas of maintenance operations, supply operations and transportation services.

The Enhanced Army Global Logistics Enterprise program contract, however, has a total five-year value of about $23 billion.

"The FMLS team is well-positioned to deliver maintenance, logistics and supply services to support our military's mission," said Bruce Stanski, president of Fluor's Government Group. "Fluor looks forward to building on our history of providing essential support services to the U.S. Army Sustainment Command around the world."

Fluor already provides support services for the U.S. military northern Afghanistan under a LOGCAP IV contract and has been contracted for logistical support for the U.S. military in Africa.

Task orders under the EAGLE contract are for work within the United States.
