ARLINGTON, Va., Oct. 10 (UPI) -- The U.S. Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center will receive cyber-forensics and information technology support from CACI.
The award -- a subcontract from Lockheed Martin -- is for one base-year of performance, with four one-year options. Its total value is $36 million if all options are exercised.
"CACI offers cyber solutions that will help Lockheed Martin and the Defense Cyber Crime Center speed the time it takes for forensic analysis of evidence, while sustaining the highest levels of quality, so that our clients can move quickly to address rapidly evolving challenges in protecting our nation's cyberspace operations and capabilities," said John Mengucci, CACI chief operating officer and president of U.S. Operations.
DC3 sets standards for digital evidence processing and analysis for any Defense Department investigation and assists in counterintelligence and counter-terrorism activities as well as criminal investigations.
Under the subcontract, CACI will provide Lockheed Martin and Defense Department with computer and audio-visual forensic experts and software engineers to design forensic tools, enhance IT support and enhance cyber counterintelligence analysis.
The company said the subcontract advances CACI's advance into the cyber-intelligence field.
"CACI's ongoing investment in solutions for our cyber-market segment continues to deliver results," said CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Dan Allen. "Our 2011 acquisition of cybersecurity solutions provider Paradigm Holdings Inc., for example, was instrumental in helping CACI secure this subcontract with Lockheed Martin and the Defense Cyber Crime Center.
