CARSON CITY, Nev., Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Tactical Air Defense Services Inc. has completed its acquisition of Northrop TF-5 and its CF-5 supersonic fighter aircraft.

TADF is an aerospace/defense services contractor serving U.S. and foreign militaries and will use the plane to support tactical aviation contracts it is pursuing.

"It is difficult to over-emphasize the importance of acquiring Northrop and its CF-5 aircraft, which materially increase our ability to pursue and win government contracts to provide tactical aviation services," TADF Chief Executive Officer Alexis C. Korybut said.

"Although there exist competitors offering aviation services, there are few that can supply the aircraft required to fulfill such contracts, and we believe there are no other private companies that can offer CF-5 aircraft or any comparable aircraft.

"We intend to continue to acquire additional aircraft through subsequent purchases or exclusive leases, including the addition of two CF-5 aircraft through the pending acquisition of Globalease (Corp.)"

TADF said the CF-5 is considered an ideal lead-in training aircraft for F-16 pilots.

Northrop TF5-1 Corp. will continue to conduct business as a wholly owned TADF subsidiary.
