
WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Novetta Solutions LLC, a provider of technology to the U.S. national security community, has acquired International Biometric Group LLC of New York.
Terms of the transaction weren't disclosed.
IBG, within the biometric identity area, specializes in areas such as fingerprint, face and iris recognition, as well as counter-spoofing and non-cooperative collection.
"In welcoming IBG to the Novetta family, we gain a new set of strategically significant capabilities and technical solutions in the emerging field of identity intelligence, the nexus of biometrics and virtual identity management," said Novetta Chief Executive Officer Peter B. LaMontagne.
