TEMPLE, Texas, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- A Texas IT and logistics solution company is conducting classes for military and civilians on storage, receiving, issuing and shipping of U.S. Army munitions.

Classes on Standard Army Ammunition System-Modernization begin the middle of next month at the Temple, Texas, campus of McLane Advanced Technologies.

SAAS-MOD enables the Army to manage ammunition with tracking and support. It includes network communications that provides global visibility of stock levels to the Army and its major commands.

"SAAS-MOD is an outstanding new addition to MAT's already exceptional STAMIS (Standard Army Management Information Systems) Training," said McLane Advanced Technologies President and Chief Executive Officer Drayton McLane Jr.

"Our goal is to offer a comprehensive training portfolio to meet the needs of Military personnel and business professionals."

McLane Advanced Technologies is a subject matter expert in logistics information systems. Its certified instructors conduct logistics-related instruction at locations around the world.
