LINKOPING, Sweden, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Saab of Sweden is restructuring its international market structure in a continuing effort to strengthen its global sales effort.
The company said that as of Jan. 1, two new market area organizations are being created to better local market focus and presence -- Europe & Greater Middle East and Nordic & Baltic.
Tomas Samuelsson, the senior vice president and head of Saab's Business Area Dynamics will lead the Europe & Greater Middle East while Anders Carp, now head of Saab's Region Middle East unit will lead Nordic & Baltic, the company said.
"In order to create profitable and long-term growth, Saab has placed clear focus on increasing its international presence and its sales outside Sweden," the company said.
"The expansion is directed at markets with strong demand and with the right conditions for profitable growth. With the two new additional market areas, Saab takes the final step in the strategy to establishing a clearer local focus and presence."
Market area Europe and Greater Middle East will have headquarters in London while the Nordic & Baltic market area office will be based in Stockholm, Sweden.
The marketing organizational map of Saab come January will be: Americas; Asia-Pacific; Europe & Greater Middle East; India; Nordic & Baltic; and Sub-Saharan Africa.
