The contract from the FAB covers 24 aircraft ERJ aircraft in all -- ERJ-145s, ERJ-135s, Legacy 600s, reconnaissance and surveillance aircraft and early warning and control aircraft.

Embraer said the value of the award could be as much as $130 million. The amount is comprised of $98 million for routine logistics and $32 million for optional services.

"Providing FAB with a new service model, which will enable our client to accomplish its missions with excellence, gives us great satisfaction", said Eduardo Bonini Santos Pinto, senior vice president of operations and chief operating officer of Embraer Defense and Security. "We are convinced that the ESSG Program will contribute for a more efficient and economical management of FAB´s fleet."

The Embraer Support Solution for the Government program includes material support, repair management, maintenance technical control, engineering support and field technical support. Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services are also provided.

The ERJ-145, manufactured by Embraer, was launched in 1989 as a regional airliner.
