AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- The U.S. Department of Defense has tapped a data management and training firm for instruction of troops on the use of the Army Training Management System.
The contract to nFocus Solutions is for three years and is worth more than $494,000.
Under the award, nFocus will send personnel to U.S. Army installations across the country to train Army units and organizations on the system, which is part of the Army Training Integration System.
ATIS includes service's Digital Training Management System, Combined Arms Training Strategies and the Army Training Network.
"ATMS gives commanders the ability to track their unit training, build mission-critical task lists and essential execute on strategies," said nFocus Solutions President Ananda Roberts. "Army leaders can manage their training resources and access data to support the automated management of soldiers and their training.
"We are honored to build upon our relationship with the military and in our role of helping the U.S. Army maintain mission-readiness in the 21st century."
The company is a developer and provider of technology and services for public sector organizations.
