HOUSTON, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- A full range of security services for NASA's Johnson Space Center are to be provided by Virginia's Chenega Security and Support Solutions LLC.

NASA said that under the contract awarded, CS3's services will include armed guards; installation, operation and maintenance of security systems; personnel security and emergency management.

CS3's work at the center -- including Ellington Field and the Sonny Carter Training Facility -- will be managed by the Johnson Center Operations Directorate's Protective Services Division.

Services will also be provided for NASA at the White Sands Test Facility and White Sands Complex in New Mexico and at NASA's Forward Operating Location in El Paso, Texas, the space agency said.

The base contract is for two years and worth $30 million. Three one-year options to the contract are worth a total of $45.2 million more.

NASA said additional work can also be performed under the award but the value for it cannot exceed $10 million.
