EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Aug. 3 (UPI) -- The U.S. subsidiary of Canada's COM DEV International is supplying more equipment to Boeing for a U.S. military satellite program.
Under a follow-on contract from Boeing Space and Intelligence Systems, worth about $5 million, COM DEV USA, LLC will provide flight equipment such as, filters, multiplexers and ferrite devices for the 10th Wideband Global Satellite.
COM DEV USA previously delivered hardware for six WGS satellites and is in production on WGS flight sets 7, 8 and 9.
"We have been a member of the WGS team since the inception of the program and we are very pleased to maintain that status," said Dan White, president of COM DEV USA.
"I believe the ongoing strength of our relationship with Boeing demonstrates the ability of our team to consistently deliver a full range of passive microwave equipment, on schedule, with the highest standards of quality and reliability."
Work on the newest contract will be conducted at the company's California facility.
