AARHUS, Denmark, July 17 (UPI) -- Israeli and Danish companies have agreed jointly explore opportunities in the airborne Electronic Warfare systems market.

Under the agreement between Elbit Systems EW and SIGINT -- Elisra Ltd and Terma A/S, the companies will also pursue opportunities and broaden offerings in aircraft survivability equipment.

"By joining forces to enhance cooperation worldwide, Elisra and Terma will be able to provide customers with comprehensive, modular EW suites in multiple (internal and external) installations, suitable for a broad variety of helicopters and fighter aircraft," said Elisra General Manager Itzhak Gat.

"This teaming agreement highlights our goal to tailor the right, high-value solution to address our customers' needs and requirements."

Elbit Systems Ltd., Elisra's parent company, offers a variety of defense electronic systems -- such as EW suites, advanced electro-optics -- either directly or through its subsidiaries. Terma develops and markets similar products.

"As proven by our track records in this area, the combination of our skills will provide customers with optimal cost-efficient solutions," said Terma Vice President Dan Ulrich.
