FARNBOROUGH, England, July 13 (UPI) -- The Indonesian air force has ordered a second batch of A-29 Super Tucano light attack and training aircraft from Embraer of Brazil.

The order is for eight planes as well as a flight simulator for pilot training.

"This decision shows the recognition given to the quality of the Super Tucano by the international market," said Luiz Carlos Aguiar, president of Embraer Defense and Security. "We are pleased with the confidence expressed by the Indonesian Air Force, and we are confident that the performance of the Super Tucano will be effective and excellent in the missions for which it was chosen."

News of the agreement was announced at the Farnborough Air Show in Britain.

Indonesia ordered eight A-29 Super Tucano aircraft in November of 2010. The first four aircraft covered by that order will be delivered next month.

Deliveries of the second batch ordered will begin in 2014, Embraer said.
