Goodrich, SYPAQ in new rep deal

CAMARILLO, N.C., July 11 (UPI) -- Goodrich Corp.'s ISR Systems is to offer direct program management in Australia and New Zealand for its DB-110 reconnaissance system.

The DB-110 system, used in military operations in Afghanistan, comprises an airborne pod containing a long-range, dual-band EO/IR imaging sensor and fixed and mobile intelligence exploitation systems.

Goodrich said the representation and program management for the system in use in both countries and the region comes through an agreement with SYPAQ Systems Pty. Ltd., which is based in the Australian city of Melbourne.

Goodrich and SYPAQ have a previous agreement for program management of another Goodrich intelligence exploitation system.

"Culminating two years of close collaboration, this agreement marks a significant milestone in the relationship between SYPAQ and Goodrich, and we look forward to our joint success in the region," said George Vicino, SYPAQ's managing director.

Adde Andrew Chrostowsky, general manager of Goodrich's ISR Systems team: "We now have the team in place to offer a full reconnaissance system with complete local resources in Australia and New Zealand."

Additional details on the DB-110 and the contract were not provided.
