FBI issues task orders for IT support

FAIRFAX, Va., July 11 (UPI) -- The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation has given General Dynamics Information Technology $19 million in task orders for IT services.

The orders were given through an FBI Investigation Information Technology Supplies and Support Services contract awarded to the company in 2010.

General Dynamics said that under the first task order, it will provide information assurance and security support to the FBI's Digital Evidence Section. Included will be systems engineering, administration and security duties, training development and office management.

It will also work with the bureau's intelligence analysts to develop and update certification and accreditation processes and programs.

General Dynamics will operate and maintain the FBI's Enterprise Management System under the second task order, while under the third it will engineer, configure, integrate, troubleshoot and advise on the procurement of virtual server platforms.
