LONDON, July 6 (UPI) -- Advances in infantry weapons and equipment will be center stage in England in September at a conference and exhibition organized by Saab of Sweden.
Attending the 6th Annual Infantry Weapons event in London will be senior military personnel from more than 10 countries as well as defense industry representatives.
Conference organizers said a key theme will be training the dismounted soldier and a presentation will be given on the latest methods employed for training in the British army.
Other topics to be covered by expert speakers include the operational concepts of the Czech and Polish militaries that underpin the deployment of new modular, switch caliber weapon systems; and the technical developments being pursued by the German army and Saab in modern anti-tank systems.
The Infantry Weapons conference will take place Sept. 19-20. Among military representatives will be senior personnel from Britain, Sweden, Germany, Poland and the United States.
