NEW YORK, June 26 (UPI) -- A remote screening system that detects and isolates people in a crowd carrying weapons, explosives and drugs has been introduced in the United States.
Suspect Detection Systems Inc. said its C300R is a remote, mass themal-based screening system that adds a new security layer to existing proprietary threat detection product line.
The C300R system is designed for use in terminals, airports, border crossings, building entrances and public areas and has been tested at a railway station in Asia and at an Israeli airport.
"The Cogito C300R adds a critical layer of surveillance to Suspect Detection System's commercial threat detection system," said Gil Boosidan, chief executive officer of Suspect Detection Systems Inc.
"Cogito's new remote mass screening system can detect terror suspects in real-time from a distance, prior to initial contact by law enforcement officials.
"The addition of C300R to our commercial product line once again demonstrates the productivity of our research and development department. More importantly, this product enhances our company's value with law enforcement agencies and private security companies, and presents opportunities for Suspect Detection Systems to sign even larger scale ongoing security contracts in the future."
