NCI supporting Army Signals center

RESTON, Va., June 26 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has given NCI Inc. a competitive task order to provide modeling, simulation and engineering support to a Signals center in Georgia.

The award, worth $6.4 million, has a one-year base period of performance with two one-year options.

Contracted work will be conducted for the U.S. Army's Signal Center of Excellence, Capabilities Development Integration Directorate, Experimentation Division, at Fort Gordon, Ga.

"NCI is very pleased to broaden our relationship with the Army through services we will provide to the U.S. Army's Signal Center of Excellence at Fort Gordon," said NCI President Brian J. Clark. "This award not only represents new business for NCI, but also a strategic entrée into a key new location."

Under the award NCI, an IT services company, will provide modeling, simulation, and network operations security center engineering support for a large wide area network supporting multiple distributed simulated experiments, work will include developing modeling and simulation tools, information-dissemination management tools, data, products, and analysis methods to support of the Army's communications experimentation and analytical requirements.
