Under the award, Science Applications International Corp. will compete for task orders to provide software engineering development, modernization and enhancement; and technical and operations support services for the department's Bureau of Consular Affairs' Office of Consular Systems and Technology.

SAIC is one of nine companies to have received the award.

"This contract provides SAIC with an opportunity to expand its longstanding support of CST and to help CST migrate their business processes to enterprise solutions," said Thomas Watson, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.

The bureau's passport services will also be supported under the contract for information infrastructure technology for general citizenship services and visa application processing.
