ORLANDO, Fla., May 4 (UPI) -- The Bulgarian army is getting a module, mobile training system from Saab of Sweden's U.S. subsidiary though the U.S. Foreign Military Sales program.

The Deployable Instrumented Training System provides exercise control, battle tracking, data collection and rapid after-action review for live training exercises and interfaces to the U.S. developed Joint Conflict/ Combat And Tactical Simulation system already fielded by Bulgaria.

"Saab Training USA is able to support our allies with the same Saab developed training systems used by the U.S. forces around the world," said Lars Borgwing, president of Saab Training USA. "We have been fielding training systems for the FMS program for more than a decade."

The Saab system being provided is a company-sized system. It has 95 infantry sets and 10 vehicle kits. The system is the same used by the U.S. military and used in joint exercises with Bulgaria in the past.

The contract is worth $2.4 million.
