Butler National eyes acquisitions

OLATHE, Kan., April 13 (UPI) -- Butler National Corp., a U.S. provider of MRO services for commercial and military aircraft, is focusing on expansion through company acquisitions.

"Our goal over the next 24 months will be to acquire companies that build on our current position in the aerospace industry," Butler National Chief Executive Officer Clark D. Stewart said. "We believe there may be opportunities to make acquisitions compatible with our current industry offerings and generate high margins."

Butler National's aerospace business provides structural modification, maintenance, repair and overhaul for aircraft, including the Boeing 737 and 747 as well as for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft, weapon control systems for Boeing Helicopter and performance enhancement structural modifications for Learjet, Cessna, Dassault and Beechcraft business aircraft.

The company said Craig Stewart, president of Aerospace for Butler National, will lead the acquisition to enable the company "to enter new aviation markets and expand the products offered by Butler through acquisitions."

Butler said is it has retained Reign Strategy and Investment Group to implement its strategy, increase shareholder value and conduct outreach to institutional investors.
