HERNDON, Va., April 4 (UPI) -- Northrop Grumman reports it will continue to provide support services for the U.S. Army's III Corps Mission Command Training Center.
The contract is for one base year of performance, with four option years. It is worth $100 million.
Northrop said the program includes training for Army mission command systems, simulation-driven staff training exercises, immersive training for platoon and company convoy operations and counter-IED operations.
"We've proudly supported the MCTC program for more than a decade with superior time-tested performance," said Greg Schmidt, vice president and general manager, Northrop Grumman's Training Solutions division.
"Our training is based on the latest tactics, techniques and procedures derived from lessons learned in theater and enables complete mission readiness, so when a warfighter reaches the battlefield they feel like they've already been there."
Northrop Grumman said it previously provided support to the MCTC at installations in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado and Kentucky.
