"With this award, additional front line U.S. pilots will have access to technology that delivers Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System capability to night missions," said VSI President Phil King.

VSI said its NVCD technology will be integrated into all domestic Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System and will be used on F-15s, F-16s F/A-18 JHMCS-equipped aircraft.

The contract is an extension to a $3.8 million NVCD LRIP-2 logistics contract awarded to VSI in September of last year.

VSI is a joint venture between Elbit Systems of America and Rockwell Collins.
