Army orders more night vision gear

ROANOKE, Va., March 27 (UPI) -- ITT Exelis reports additional orders from the U.S. Army for its image intensifier tubes and night vision goggles.

The orders are for 500 image intensifier tubes for AN/PVS-14 night vision, monocular devices as well as for 34 AN/PVS-7 and 14 AN/PVS-14 night vision goggles for a Foreign Military Sales customer.

"ITT Exelis continues to provide the U.S. military and our international allies with advanced Generation 3 night vision technology," said Nick Bobay, vice president and general manager of ITT Exelis night vision business area.

"We are pleased that the Army has chosen Exelis based on our ability to deliver superior capability at affordable prices."

ITT Exelis Geospatial Systems is a global supplier of night vision, remote sensing, and navigation products for sight and situational awareness at the space, airborne, ground and soldier levels.
