"The U.S. Navy surface fleet is continuing to benefit from the advanced signals intelligence offered by SSEE Increment F and we're pleased to expand deployment of this critical technology," said Argon ST Vice President Joe Carlin.

"As defense budgets and personnel become constrained, advanced intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems such as SSEE Increment F enable warfighters to make efficient use of their resources."

The system acquires, locates, identifies and analyzes signals while using the latest in Field Programmable Gate Array, embedded processing and server network technologies.

Under the second lot order, Argon will produce and deliver eight systems. The order will be completed over 19 months, the company said.

Argon ST is part of Boeing's Electronic and Mission Systems.
