Services will include soil sampling and analysis, monitoring, containment, treatment, development and construction of remediation systems in response to cleanup actions, operations.

The award is for five years in total -- a 3-year base period plus two option years -- and carries a maximum value of $80 million.

"Shaw has long supported the Corps' Rapid Response program," said George Bevan, president of Shaw's Environmental and Infrastructure Group. "This award underscores our ability to efficiently respond to and execute complex remediation projects."

The Shaw Group specializes in engineering, construction, technology, fabrication, remediation and support services. It said the new contract from the Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha Division, is the fifth consecutive award from the organization.
