DENVER, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Skydex Technologies of Colorado reports more than $5.3 million in contracts last month from U.S. clients for its shock mitigation products.

Two agreements for its Convoy Deck product came from BAE Systems and General Dynamics Land System. Convoy Deck is blast-mitigating flooring used on Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles and Stryker combat vehicles.

"Our already rapid growth continued to accelerate in January because of the growing recognition of our products as the leading solutions for all types of impact mitigating situations," said Skydex President and Chief Executive Officer Mike Buchen.

"As we begin the new year, our mission remains the same: to engineer and manufacture the most innovative and effective products to protect things that matter and improve survivability for America's warriors."

The company said it also received orders for its Impact Mitigating Boat Decking from Brunswick Boat Group and Beach Marine. The product designed to absorb the negative energy transmitted through boat hulls crashing into waves during high speed maneuvering.
